MUSIC REVIEWS by Will Salmon

THIS is the first in a new series on classic albums from across the years.
It’s not meant to be a definitive list, just a selection of great records from many different genres.
Some will be famous (yes, The Beatles will crop up at some point, but not with Sgt Pepper) and some will be obscure (Wendy and Bonnie anyone?).
I loathe and detest the idea that music was somehow better “in the olden days” so there’s going to be a lot of modern music here too.
I hope you’ll find something in the list that you like, but more importantly, I hope you’ll find something new that you’d like to try out.

Portishead – Dummy (1994 Go! Beat)
