Gig Reviews

Comments: Featuring their usual striking face make up and playing a set of tight, aggressive, face melting thrashy metal they really are well worth catching live. Since the last time I saw them they seem to have sprouted a few more roadies and their own sound engineer who did an excellent job without a sound check and meant they easily had the best sound of the night. Torso Horse are a three piece so their sound is pretty stripped down but when the mix is right, as it was at this gig, it certainly does not matter as the powerhouse and at times very inventive rhythm section fill any gaps left by only having one guitar, in fact the drummer must be one of the best I have seen outside of a full on professional signed band. Full Report.

Comments: "Opener 'Dragging Me Down' was a highlight for me, as was the mini flame-thrower that went off mid-set. 'Every Dog Has Its Day', 'The Torture' and 'What You've Made Me' from the bands 2003 release 'Freak Show' sounded immense but cuts like ' The Angel You'll Never Be' and 'Labels' off 2004's 'Invisible Enemy' album, together with new song 'Backstabber' showed the potential here."
